Inspired by the 'big bad banksia men' in the adventures of 'Snugglepot and Cuddlepie' by May Gibbs, this sculptural banksia vessel is part of a larger body of work that depicts the native Australian banksia celebrating the Australian bush and the fragility and importance of our unique natural environment.
The 'noir' series consist of black, sooty, blackened, charred, banksia forms inspired by recent bushfires.
